Our running game (with Tebow), defense, and special teams will give us a great chance to repeat as SEC and BCS champions. However, having a nice passing game is pretty nice, don't you think?
How many of you are confident that the current status of our passing game is fine and dandy? Look...
After reading a few articles, it seems like our passing game was intentionally underused against LSU. First of all, our running game was moving the ball just fine (although in the red zone, things sputtered a bit). Also, the biggest concern for Tebow was his sitting in the pocket - he can't...
I love it!
I thought the funniest part was when Brantley says Moody can grind out the tough yards and Meyer goes, "who?"
Tehehe
But in seriousness, I can see Moody having a breakout game if Tebow doesn't play.
The problem with using someone other than Tebow in short yardage situations is that they're not a passing threat like Tebow has been. This is one reason why Tebow is so effective running - defenses have to respect his arm. As far as I know Moody can't pass the ball.
As long as we win the field position battle and turnover battle, we win this game, no question.
On paper, even with homefield advantage, we should win. But that Ole Miss game will never cease to haunt my predictions...
I disagree with you KYGATOR.
Assuming LSU hasn't been purposely playing that badly on offense, do you really think their offense will put more than 17 points on us? And you really think a Brantley led offense can't put at least 20 on LSU? Think about our turnover creating ability on defense...
In hindsight, yes, Tebow should not have stayed in the game as long as he did. But before Tebow went down, no one had this hindsight benefit.
Let's say the "holding" call on Hernandez wasn't made so Tebow came out of the game before he got hurt. How many people would be criticizing. Meyer...
Neither did I. They particularly emphasized the two no calls regarding the celebration after a sack (in the 4th QTR) and Crompton's intentional grounding.
But to be fair, is it intentional grounding if the QB leaves the tackle box, but then steps back inside when he throws the ball away? If...
