Tyus is a huge surprise this year. He's been playing some great baller against non-conference opponents. Let's wait and see what he does against the big boys of the SEC like Tennessee.
Here's a link to the complete season stats: http://www.gatorzone.com/basketball/men/stats/complete.pdf
Tyus only trails Calahtes by 2.5 ppg. He also has more rebounds, blocks and less turnovers. Is there a chance that Tyus is the best player on the team? If he's not now, will he be by the end...
University of Florida junior quarterback Tim Tebow (Jacksonville, Fla.) has been named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week and sophomore defensive end Carlos Dunlap (North Charleston, S.C.) earned SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week honors, the league office announced Monday.
I know we've talked about this in another thread, but now it looks like the National media is picking up on it.

So far this season, Ponder has 1747 yards, 12 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also has 390 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns.
He's not a Heisman type QB... but I think he's much better then what we've faced at FSU the past 4-5 years.
Here's a video of him throwing a 50 yard touchdown...
What do you think the score will be?
I haven't seen any lines yet, but I bet the Gators will be favored by maybe 10 points or so. I think FSU will give us a good fight because they've got nothing to lose.
45-17 Gators win.
Do you think Calathes has what it takes to play in the NBA? He doesn't strike me as the type of player to leave early to play pro basketball, so he still has 2 more years to hone his skills.
Tough loss, but I'm glad it came early in the season. We've got time to rebound.
Did anyone actually watch the game though? It was on ESPN 2 right? Just trying to get an idea of how the Gators looked.
Having an starter get injured this time of year is devastating. I think Meyer should only play our starters for 1 quarter against Citadel. Try to get a 21-0 lead going into the second quarter, then let the backups play.
I think today, Percy Harvin proved he could be a full-time running back if asked to be one. Spurrier even said post game that Percy would be a 200-yard running back on any team in the country.
Do you think NFL teams will want to drfat him to be a primary running back?
Does anyone know what happened to Carl Johnson? He was laying on the field for quite some time, then couldn't walk off on his own.
I hope he's OK, he's been our best O-lineman the past few weeks.
Just read this on espn.com
Calathes acknowledged truth to a story first reported by Yahoo.com that said he ran up a $600 debt playing poker online, but was adamant he did nothing illegal.
Donovan and athletic director Jeremy Foley agreed. Calathes said he wasn't sure how much money he...
The Gators could end up a 2 seed. Our schedule is very favorable all the way up to January 3 when we play NC State, and that game is at home.
Going through December and coming out 11-1 will be a nice boost heading into SEC play
Gators have to win out. Alabama need to be undefeated when we play them in the SEC Championship. If we win that game it will be a lock.
It would also help if we blow out FSU and USC
USC will give us a good game. I don't think we'll cover the spread either, but this game won't come down to a blocked field goal like in 2006 either.
USC has a very good defense and should give our boys a test.
My guess is 38-20
Penn State just won that last game that would be of any challenge. Tehy only have three games left:
@ Iowa
vs. Indiana
vs. Michigan State
If they go undefeated, they'll get in without question.
What are the odds the will lose one of these games? I just can't stand to see another Big...
