6'0 308 - this guy had all the hype around him when he was being recruited. He was limited by injuries and redshirted in 2008, then play in all 14 games in 2009.
In 14 games played this year - note he didn't start - he had only 8 solo tackles, 2 of which went for a loss. No sacks.
Where do...
No offense to anyone, but McCoy is a pussy. How can he not get back in that game. I can understand taking one half to heal, but they can just shoot him up with cortizone and get him in the 2nd half.
Ya it sucks he can't play in the Sugar Bowl - we sure could use him. Hopefully he gets healthy in time for the combine and gets picked up by a NFL team..Maybe in the 6-7th round?
That's great news for the Gators. Rainey would have been a 3-4th rounder at best and that money isn't worth leaving early. Rainey has a chance to improve his stock next year. Tebow won't be stealing all the goalline carries anymore so that leaves an opportunity for Rainey to reach double digits.
Like Mr2Bits said in another post, I thought the Gators might fall out of the Top 25 with the loss to Richmond. I guess the voters still have respect for us.
The Gators have been NIT bound the previous two years. Getting 20 wins is no longer that great of an accomplishment.
My fear is that the Gators will dominate their non-conference schedule, but then fall back to earth in January/February. They'll likely be a bubble team again, and probably...
1. Kenny Boynton Jr. can create his own shot. That's something Nick Calathes had a hard time doing against good defenders. Now, granted, the perimeter defense of mighty St. Leo isn't exactly a proper test of Boynton's ability but it doesn't take a basketball genius to realize that Boynton is...
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Gators' flu bug is cause for alarm, at least for coach Urban Meyer and his staff.
Running back Jeff Demps, tight end Aaron Hernandez and defensive end Jermaine Cunningham were isolated in the days leading up to Saturday's game against Tennessee.
Although...
What did you think of the offensive play calling in the Tennessee game? Seems like they kept trying to run Demps and Rainey up the middle. And guys like Cooper and Hernandez were hardly involved.
Rainey and Demps both had awesome YPC again, yet they didn't get the touches they need. I don't understand the play calling. Tebow had 24 rushes while Demps, Rainey and Moody had 16 combined!
I thought he was going to be our leding receiver in 2009. He dropped a sure touchdown last week against Charleston Southern and then he had another drop just now against Troy. Though he did redeem himself by catching a touchdown pass.
I also think the Longhorns will make it this year. If Oklahoma and Texas are both 1 loss teams, I don't see the voters giving the nod to Oklahoma again and forcing a rematch from last year.
