"As Florida senior safety Ahmad Black reflects on his last summer with Florida's football team, he can't help but erase his boyish smile.
Usually giggling and bright, Black gets serious when he talks about the work he's put in this offseason.
"I've been through a lot," Black said. "This is probably one of the toughest (offseasons) we've had. We've got to get guys ready to play. There are a lot of shoes to fill, and we have to get guys ready so they can be physically and mentally prepared so they can get out there and play."
Maybe it's because this is his final season with the Gators. Maybe it's because he's truly endorsing his role as team captain."
