All 25 of Florida’s verbal commits signed on the dotted line Wednesday, plus three more recruits as the day wore on, to give the Gators 28 new players for the 2010 season.
And when the dust settled, Meyer had secured perhaps the greatest collection of talent in recruiting history.
“It’s not too big of a stretch to say that it’s the best class ever,” ESPN recruiting analyst Tom Luginbill said. “They’ve gotten the program to the point that the program sells itself.”
The Gators finished the day ranked No. 1 in the country by all three major recruiting services – Rivals, ESPN and Scout."
