I'd love to go to a home game but I would want to stay over on a Friday and Saturday night in Gainesville; the one drawback is the average room rate during football season at @ $225 or so.

I never paid that for a hotel for a game. Mind you, I do not need a 4-5 star hotel as I won't remember it anyway and will only spend about 5 hrs sleeping.

If there's a decent hotel or a nice clean B&B within walking distance of The Swamp, please let me know. I don't like being caught in traffic; I deal with that notorious Orlando rush hour M-F and these imbecile drivers during the week, and that's enough for me to handle.

I normally stay by the highway and hitch a ride or take a taxi to the game. Ya, it can be a pain but so worth it.
