FYI for all the Gator fans who wanted Scott Frost over Dan Mullen. Reminder: 2021 Northwestern finished the season 3–9, 1–8 in Big Ten play to finish in a tie for last place in the West division. The 2021 Huskers also finished with a 3–9 record, despite the fact that they outscored their opponents by a combined total of 335 to 272 on the season. All of the team's losses were by single-digit margins.

Nebraska is a train wreck. Scott Frost is a fraud. Yes, Dan Mullen and his staff did give up on Florida, but for a while we did have some explosive offense and hope for a championship.

Northwestern outgained Nebraska by about 60 yards, limited turnovers (1 for Northwestern vs 3 for Nebraska), and ran the ball conservatively.

I don't know exactly WHY I found this one as satisfying as I did; perhaps that "original Mullen/Frost debate" is the reason (your title for the thread certainly gave me a chuckle, E--).
And yes, in the end it did seem that "Mullen and his staff DID give up on Florida"--though I doubt I ll ever understand why.
Regardless, we're all now looking to (indeed, COUNTING ON) Napier and HIS gang washing the bad taste from our mouths, and ultimately washing away most lingering memories of the last 10-plus YEARS of failures and false hopes.
