If I had to nit pick on deficiencies for a player, it would have to be Demp's ability to break tackles. The kid is fast as lightening and can turn any play into a touchdown but his only problem is what happens once a defender gets his hands on him. He goes down too easily. I know I'm asking to have my cake and eat it too on this topic, but like I said, if I had to pick one thing wrong with this kid that is it. It's my personal opinion that the best true running back on the team is Gillislee. When he is hit he runs through the tackle. His yards after contact are enormous because he falls down running forward. If Demps or Moody is hit at three yards past the line of scrimmage they will typically go down three and half yards past the line of scrimmage. If Gillislee is hit three yards past the line of scrimmage he will stumble forward an extra five yards on the way to the ground. That's how you grind out yardage in this game. Obviously Demps should be the starter. But for short yardage situations and for every other purpose where Demps needs a rest, Gillislee should be taking the snap. Moody may be a good person off the field but he really hasn't panned out to be an elite running back. Coach Drayton himself said that Gillislee is the best pure running back on the team. I think the kid needs more snaps as a backup. Let's not forget his ability to break plays wide open as well. The kid has the speed to break it loose like Demps.
