What did you think when Bobby Bowden elected to kick that field goal at the end of the third quarter when they were down 30-0. They were on the 2 yard line. At that point Bobby was telling his team it's over. He's not even going to try to win.

Yes and yes; when he went for the FG, he was telling his team they were going to lose since all he was trying to do was avoid a shutout.

It was an exercise in futility on his part, as well as a vain effort to try and save face. At halftime the game was pretty much decided, and he knew it.

Poor Bowden... I think at this point he was just ready to leave... all the drama this season wasn't worth it.. he just wanted to end the Florida game with some respect and leave...
