"John Brantley III, father of Florida backup quarterback John Brantley, said Thursday the redshirt sophomore probably won't know Tim Tebow's status for the LSU game until at least mid next week.
Tebow is recovering from a concussion, and John Brantley is preparing like a starter. Brantley III said his son has prepared like a starter all year, doing every drill alongside Tebow so that surprises are minimal.
"I wouldn't be surprised if they take it all the way until game time," said Brantley III, a former Gators quarterback. "It's just too early to tell anything."
