More about our QB recruit for 2010 (my hunch was right; he's enrolling early): http://recruiting.blogs.gatorsports.com/10275/burton-ready-to-work-on-arm-in-gainesville/
This frosh QB should be good. He has nearly as many rushing yards as passing yards. Same with rushing vs passing TDs. Hmmmm. Where have I seen this before?
Wouldn't it be nice to see another Tim Tebow-like QB play for the Gators?
I hope this guy is a vocal leader. It's hard to replace a field general like Tebow. Brantley is a quiet leader, so let's see how his style pans out.
If he can carry the enthusiasm he's shown so far into the locker room and influence his teammates, he'll ve a very vocal and visible leader.
Johnny Brantley is probably more like Chris Leak in that he's not as vocal as Tebow, but he has huge shoes to fill and needs to be ready to assume the level of responsibility he'll be taking on after the Sugar Bowl - that, and serve as a mentor to both Trey Burton and Jordan Reed.
