Even Weis knows it's the end of the rope for him.
Funny thing, I was watching ESPN's College Football Overdrive on Saturday night, and one of the panel (didn't catch his name) cited ND's infrastructure as the main reason why things are the way they are and for the coaching turnover in the past decade - but Kordell Stewart and the other commentator wouldn't have any of that; they were clearly on the Fire Charlie Weis bandwagon.
Even though the media and the rumor-mongers want Weis fired, it's not their decision to make - that final decision lies with the ND administration, and they'll be looking at the big picture before they do.
As much as the media is fueling the rumor mills and wants to see it, I still don't think Meyer will re-consider what he said this past summer - and I highly doubt Shelley will consent to a move, not with their middle child (Gigi) headed into her senior year in high school.
