Decision nearing for UF receiver Riley Cooper

He should come back for both his senior year in football and baseball. The 25th round probably won't translate to too much success in the bigs. He could work on his draft status with another year in G-Ville.

^^^ I wouldn't exactly call Nelson experienced. He didn't play at all except in garbage time up until the SEC Championship game. Granted he did make some big plays for us against OU, but Cooper, Thompson and Moore all have more experience than Nelson.

Personally, I hope Coach Meyer and Billy Gonzales make a diligent effort to being Coop back for his senior year; with some work and decent reps in practice he could become a deep target for Tebow and Brantley. Since Murphy graduated, we need a receiver to step up there - and Coop has shown in the past that he has the capability to make plays on the deep routes.

I disagree with that.

You disagree with the fact that Nelson is inexperienced? How could you disagree with facts? All you have to do is look up the numbers.

Of course your entitled to your opinion, but you can't disagree with facts. It's just not logical. It's like someone trying to argue that Florida didn't win 2 of the last 3 national titles. They may have the opinion that Florida didn't deserve one of them, but the fact is they won two.

There's no such thing as having an opinion when it comes to cold hard facts.

Geez bro, let it go. As for your cold hard facts, check this...

Considering Nelson played one less game (13) than either Thompson (14) and Cooper (14), I say that they are ALL basically even. Execpt for TD's caught which Nelson leads by 2 over the other two.

So, is Nelson more experienced than Harvin? I mean, b/c Harvin only played in 12 games last year and all.

As I said in my first post, Nelson only got in at garbage time and never contributed ANYTHING until the SEC title game. Cooper started at WR most of the year, and Thompson was usually the first wideout to come off the bench. I think Nelson will definitely get more playing time this season, and hopefully contribute a little more, but to call him our most experienced receiver is ridiculous.

Show me where in this thread I said he was the most experienced. If you go back in this thread, I said "someone to fill Murphy's spot", not Harvin. I clearly said experienced. Jeez bro, they will all play.

It's SEC media days and kickoff is right on the doorstep. I say we both put it to rest and get ready for some college football!
