Florida has 9 scholarship freshmen still eligible to red-shirt

"One more Florida freshman made his college debut Saturday, making him ineligible for a standard red-shirt.

Players who participate in one snap can’t red-shirt unless they qualify for a medical red-shirt. LB Darrin Kitchens got in against South Florida, so unless he gets hurt in the next two games, he’s using a season of eligibility this year."

If Gerald Christianson and some of the young WR's are eligible for red shirting then that should happen. We are loaded at TE right now and Gerald can be a huge factor later on in his career after Hines, Reed, Parks, and Burton are gone. I'm afraid his talent will get lost in a pool of depth at the position. All these guys are young. Nobody is leaving any time soon at TE.
