Florida's Meyer: 'This is it'

Just read the article myself - sounds like Coach is here for the long haul!

When he said that he and Shelley were "at home" at the end of his speech at the Daytona Beach Gator Gathering, he meant what he said. He makes it a point to find time for his family and friends in spite of his busy schedule, and from the gist of the article he seems to find Gainesville very relaxing as well as friendly.

I for one am very happy that he's here, and I make no secret of the fact that I think the world of Urban Meyer. Indeed he has everything he needs to build his own niche at UF, and he can build a dynasty.

Judging from how our recruiting Class of 2010 is looking right now, the future looks great!

Meyer Mania is everywhere....

"Meyer smiled as he talked about a vacation he and his family recently took with two other families. They stayed on a remote Caribbean island, exquisitely inaccessible, just what Meyer craved. Let the Nation try and find me, just let 'em try. He wore a week's worth of beard, sunglasses and pulled a visor down low. Ah, anonymity.

One night, Meyer, his wife and the two other couples went to a reggae party at a restaurant on an even more remote island, yet another boat ride. They grabbed a table near the dance floor.

"Sure enough," Meyer said, "I'm not there six minutes and some girl walks over and says, 'Coach, will you sign this dollar bill?'"

He signed it, then he rose to leave. Meyer's best friend talked him out of it. Meyer sat back down. Across the dance floor, he saw people doing the Gator Chomp."
