Former Gator Eric Rutledge arrested on home invasion, robbery charges

"Former Florida fullback Eric Rutledge was arrested Friday evening on charges of home invasion with a firearm or other deadly weapon, a first degree felony. Rutledge is also facing charges of conspiracy.

He remained in the Alachua County Jail Sunday morning on a $150,000 bond.

According to Alachua County court records, on June 15 Rutledge and three others were involved in a home invasion in which four victims were held at gunpoint, beaten, and robbed of cash, laptops and marijuana."

Wow, that is a damn shame. I'm glad that, even though they were beaten, that no one lost their life in this senseless situation. I know that stuff like this happens all of the time and that I most likely wouldn't have known about it if not for the former Gator being partially responsible, but it is a damn shame that it happened.
