Former UF signee Dickerson lands at Washington

It didn’t take long for former Florida power forward signee Noah Dickerson to find a new home.

The 6-foot-8, 245-pound Dickerson will attend Washington next season after being granted his release from the Gators.

Dickerson, an Atlanta native and former Montverde (Fla.) Academy four-star standout, was the lone member of UF’s 2015 class to ask out of his letter of intent after Billy Donovan left the Gators for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Guard KeVaughn Allen, forward Kevarrius Hayes and forward Keith Stone all agreed to honor their letters of intent and play for new UF coach Mike White.

At Washington, Dickerson will join six other incoming freshman, as the Huskies are in rebuilding mode under head coach Lorenzo Romar.

Other notes:

– Four-star 2016 point guard Eric Hester is reportedly visiting the UF campus this weekend. An Oldsmar Christian standout, the 6-foot-3 Hester is the 60th ranked prospect in the nation, according to Rivals.com’s recruiting rating. He’s considered an excellent defender and an improving school. Hester has offers from several schools, including Louisville, Miami and Florida State.
