Fred Taylor is waiting for a call. It may be over and if it is he’s content with an NFL career that saw him eclipse 10,000 rushing yards.
But he’s not retired.
“I’m working out so I’ll be ready,” he said on The Pat Dooley Show on 105 The Game. “I told my agent Drew Rosenhaus that I’m all ears.”
Taylor said that if nobody calls and he retires, it will be as a Jacksonville Jaguar. He’ll sign with the team for a day and then retire.
“When they released me I told Mr. (Wayne) Weaver that’s what I wanted to do,” he said. “I want to retire as a Jaguar.”
Taylor isn’t retired but one of his teammates from New England did. Randy Moss called it quits Monday. The two players were in the same draft class in 1998.
“I shot him a text and told him how great it was to watch him play,” Taylor said. “Randy is a great guy. He got a bad rap.”
