We're a week away from Friday Night Lights, the Florida Gators' recruiting extravaganza that hosts hundreds of the nation's top-flight recruits. I've never been, but word is that it's quite the party (not sure if recruits have to bring chips or dip as a gesture).
Urban Meyer will be there. The rest of the coaching staff will be there.Tim Tebow will probably be there, too, since it's Florida's best opportunity to show off their biggets assets. Tebow, Brandon Spikes and company can do a couple of fist pumps, lift some tires and yell a lot. Recruits seem to like those theatrics.
Anyway, here are some high-profile players that we're hearing should be attending.Not sure yet about the total number from the 15-player oral commitments list for 2010 have accepted the invite.

I wish I could get up to Hoggetowne this coming Friday to see "FNL", but I won't be able to becuase of my schedule. Still hoping to make an R&R weekend out of two-a-days next month, though.

I won't be able to make it to Friday Night Lights this year, but I bet it's going to be a lot of fun watching those high school players compete for a scholarship/walk-on opportunity with the Gators.
