"In a way, football training camp can be a lot like practicing your golf game on the driving range. Sometimes the good stuff on the range doesn't carry over to the course.
That's what happened to the Florida Gators a week ago.
By all accounts, Florida had an excellent preseason camp, with the offense looking potent and producing many big plays (and no bad shotgun snaps).
Then the Gators teed it up last Saturday and promptly snap-hooked their season-opener deep into the woods, where they barely got out alive against Miami (Ohio), a 37-point underdog.
Saturday, they try again, in what some might consider Florida's mulligan for the opener."
