Gators may play two quarterbacks

i dont know how i feel about this

i thought the tebow thing was getting predictable last year and teams were stopping it more

short yardage on 3rd? everybody knows its going to tebow

i just dont know if it would still work like it did in 06 :confused0082:

I think this is going to be the same as last year when Coach Meyer was talking about Joe Haden in the wildcat. It never happened. He is just saying these things so that teams prepare for it, and spend less time on preparing for Johnny B's passes. Thats just my thinking. :confused0082:

I expect to see Burton play in our early cupcake games, and probably run a few times. But I think the coaches will want him to throw in those early games to develop his passing game. Once we get into the meat of the schedule, not sure Burton will get in until the end of a game when we are winning. A running QB is a great change of pace to end the game, Arizona did it a lot last year with back up Matt Scott.

As for Reed, it might be just as Johnny said, a gimmick to keep other teams guessing. Not sure that the coaches really want to have him learning wildcat packages while he is still developing as a TE.

This is the best explanation I have read anywhere, so far.

However, if we do use 2 QBs this season, I'm betting whoever the Wildcat QB is will throw the ball pretty well.
