"The Gainesville Sun is reporting Florida football coach Urban Meyer’s daughter, Gigi Meyer, has committed to play at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Gigi Meyer will be a senior setter for Buchholz High School in Gainesville this coming fall. Meyer had 609 assists, 103 digs and 172 service points (69 aces) as a junior. Her sister, Nicki, is a libero for Georgia Tech.
Though she’s only about 5-foot-6, Meyer routinely distinguishes herself at high-level volleyball camps and competitions, said Buchholz coach Jeff Reavis.
“She’s a winner,” Reavis said. “She’s the leader. You can see it. Multiple coaches have come up and said it’s impressive how she runs the team.”
