"Except from the guy who was most responsible for yet another victory over yet another rival Saturday. You won't find Urban Meyer, the old Rocky Top rival-killer, apologizing for Saturday's 31-17 victory over Tennessee.
"You come on the road and win in the SEC, that's something we will never take for granted," said Meyer, who is now a perfect 6-0 against the Vols.
And that's why Meyer was pumping his fist as his Gators sang the fight song in front the Florida band after the victory. It's why he hugged his wife Shelley and made a point of high-fiving UF fans who hung over the rail and chanted "Ur-ban Mey-er!" over and over again."
Mikey makes a hypocritical statement here, though (HE was doing a LOT of the castigating too):
"Meyer may have been castigated in the media this week after yet another one of his players was charged with a crime, but let's not kid ourselves: Fans will take the arrests if they are accompanied by victory after sweet victory, elite recruiting classes and a 16-1 record against the Gators' four biggest rivals."
