Hard-working Easley ready for Florida

"Of the 30 athletes honored Monday night during the PSAL’s Wingate awards dinner at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, none stood out quite like Dominique Easley.

Curtis’ All-American defensive tackle was impossible to miss because of his bright teel buttoned down shirt that hardly encompassed his hulking 6-foot-3, 285-pound frame.

“Thanks for not breaking my hand,” Danny Harris told him after the University of Florida-bound Easley accepted the Wingate award, given to the top student athlete in his or her respective sport. Harris, a PSAL sports coordinator handling MC duties for the evening, was kidding.

Kind of.

Harris had nothing to worry about – Easley was overjoyed to be on hand."

I think Easley is going to become a real fan favorite in his time at UF. He just has that kind of presence on and off of the field.
