How many SEC teams will need coaches in 2018

There the Gators, UT, Ole Miss has an interim, and T A&M is planning to fire Sumlin. Unsure about Arkansas and Miss St depending what Mullen does. Maybe Vandy and I think that's it.

Think about this: 27 coaches have been fired in the SEC since Nick Satan took over at Alabama. Assuming Gus Malzahn survives the season, he will be the only SEC coach in 2018 with a win over Satan.

This ties into one of my big concerns, btw: That we may end up squandering a fistful of advantages in dallying, not choosing, getting our preferred Coach and in turn let him get out in front preparing for 2018.
Long as the passing time is all about GETTING "The Right One", the guy we really want and need, well, no prob. But anything else is foolish and wasteful.
Of course, for now, we just don't KNOW what's going on behind the scenes. As usual, I hope to HELL there IS a plan, that there are good and valuable reasons things seem to have gone quiet, the search not showing urgency, for reasons that will eventually reveal themselves in subsequent events, resulting in future success.

Stricklin is pulling out all the stops to get this coach, but it is up to the coach to take the job. Some reports say that Stricklin reached out to Kelly weeks ago and they have been negotiating constantly. There are multiple vetting teams running in parallel to get backup plans as well.

I think Gus will survive, Auburn did beat then number one UGA and Bama is coming this weekend.
