As irritating as the "Slantinel" is, I can't help laughing at some of the absurdity I read in random articles they publish. Such is the case with this one; Jeremy Fowler claims that Georgia head coach Mark Richt is on the hot seat heading into this fall and that Florida is to blame:
Yeah - a BCS win within the last two years, top recruiting classes and a respectable record sure puts one on the hot seat - but then again, this is also what the Birmingham Blowhard a/k/a Paul Finebaum has been saying - and it so happens that this same Jeremy Fowler claims that Finebaum's one of the "10 most powerful people in the SEC" - and the same Finebaum who predicted a storm in Gainesville beyond the reproach of FEMA last season and was left with egg on his face when Urban Meyer reiterated his statement that he has no intentions of going to Notre Dame - ever.
Unbelievable. This is something I'd expect coming from one of those wannabes at Bleacher Report, but not from a writer for a national newspaper.

"But as Richt approaches the 10-year mark, only two things will truly allow a coach to log double digits in tenure at a school with top-15 resources — a national title and beating your biggest rival.
That’s why Florida’s largely to blame for Richt’s toasty bottom. Richt is 2-7 against the Gators, including the last two wins by a combined score of 90-27. The annual Jacksonville game has gotten ugly, making that trek across the state border that much more painful for Georgia fans."
