If Percy returned in 2009...

If Percy Harvin would have returned for his senior year in 2009, do you think he would have been enough for us to beat Alabama in the SEC Championship Game? I know it was mostly our defense that sucked, but with Percy's ability to break for a touchdown on any given play it might have changed things.

What do you think? Would we have won?

if percy came back the team wouldve been very different last year. the offense wouldve been much more explosive. I think the defense wouldve had to play a little better against alabama though. that game couldve played out totally different with percy there though so its hard to say.

how come percy didnt run track at florida like some of the other football players? he could have been pretty good it seems based on his high school success. I'm guessing he just wanted to focus on football...

I don't want to take away from what Alabama did. They beat us fair and square, it was their year, and I do not think we were equipped to beat them with or without Percy. Besides, it is a team sport, and any of our other players could have stepped up to complement Tebow's one-man wrecking crew offense. They did not. I also believe the report that members of last year's team quit on us to save themselves for the draft. In short, last year was not our year, with or without Percy.

Observing how the defense played our offense with and without Harvin, I would say that he would have made a huge difference. With Harvin, the opposing defense was always keying on him, freeing up other players. Without him, the defense was able to cover all players without worrying about that one explosive playmaker.
