Joe Haden to petition for NFL evaluation

I'm not sure if I should be happy that he wants to further his career. Or sad that he is leaving Florida and we really need him next year.

His younger brother will be a spring enrolee at UF; haven't heard anymore about that other brother of his who's looking for a new school to transfer to from Boston College.

The consensus is that Haden will likely take advantage of this last year of the "cap" as well as others, but nothing's etched in stone as of yet.

I hope that his little brother coming to Florida will be enough to keep him for his Senior year. If not we will drop off a little bit but we will still have a solid defensive backfield. Will Hill, Janoris Jenkins, Dee Finley. Having Haden back would be HUGE!!!

Interesting. I didn't know Josh was looking to transfer. Maybe he can come to UF and we can convert him to corner just like his bro.

Whether or not Haden leaves for the NFL, we're going to be hurting on both sides of the ball next year.

I don't disagree but at the same time i don't agree 100%. Brantley will have some struggles early but he will figure things out and be a soild QB next year. We still have Rainey, Demps, and Moody to help carry the load. Also Debose will be back and I still expect him to have a freshman Percy type year, he will contribute. Also we will still have some great players left on defense all throughout, Bostic, Jelani Jenkins, Janoris Jenkins, Will Hill, Dee Finley, and some other guys will step up. We will have some struggles and I am sure we will lose a game or two but I still think we will contend in the East and come away with it in the end.
