Steve Russell, in his speech a week ago, thinks Haden will jump to the NFL after this season: http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/sports_college_uf/2009/11/joe-haden-to-petition-for-nfl-evaluation.html
I'm not sure if I should be happy that he wants to further his career. Or sad that he is leaving Florida and we really need him next year.
His younger brother will be a spring enrolee at UF; haven't heard anymore about that other brother of his who's looking for a new school to transfer to from Boston College.
The consensus is that Haden will likely take advantage of this last year of the "cap" as well as others, but nothing's etched in stone as of yet.
I don't disagree but at the same time i don't agree 100%. Brantley will have some struggles early but he will figure things out and be a soild QB next year. We still have Rainey, Demps, and Moody to help carry the load. Also Debose will be back and I still expect him to have a freshman Percy type year, he will contribute. Also we will still have some great players left on defense all throughout, Bostic, Jelani Jenkins, Janoris Jenkins, Will Hill, Dee Finley, and some other guys will step up. We will have some struggles and I am sure we will lose a game or two but I still think we will contend in the East and come away with it in the end.Whether or not Haden leaves for the NFL, we're going to be hurting on both sides of the ball next year.
