Looking back: How Florida landed Urban Meyer

Noticed that Spurrier didn't came up. Guessing they didn't want him again. I admit I was surprise that Florida got him over Notre Dame. I read an article that one of the reason he picked the Gators was Earle Bruce, ex-Ohio State coach when Meyer was a graduate assistant there and one of the reasons was the HS talent in Florida.

Meyer's father Bud and Lou Holtz also encouraged him to pick Florida.
Lou Holtz? Hope ND don't have a salute of him otherwise that might come down. I wonder if Holtz wanted to coach in G-ville (he was in the running of the job before hired Charley Pell).
