"The open field spins and jukes are gone. So are the touchdown runs that he made look easier than cooking Ramen noodles. There won't be any more play by play announcers announcing "Oh, Mercy Percy" either.
Percy Harvin is just a few weeks away from hearing his name called at the NFL Draft, and meanwhile, back in Gainesville, the Gators are trying to find their new Harvin. Florida will be hard pressed to find anybody who can put up the numbers or make the moves Harvin did. Coach Urban Meyer, however, said he isn't going to give up what he now calls the "Percy position."
So, who will it be? Well, who knows? It's hard to predict who will be Florida's No. 1 receiver this year and fill the "Percy position." It could be anyone from Jeffrey Demps to Deonte Thompson to Frankie Hammond Jr. to incoming freshman Andre Debose. The good news for the Gators is that this group is hungry."
