But in retrospect, he insists it was all for the best.
Florida coach Urban Meyer agrees. Meyer said Monday that he's seen phenomenal growth and maturity in Brantley. So much so, that he sent a text to the quarterback's father, John Brantley III, to tell him how proud he should be of his son. And one day, Meyer said, he hopes someone will be able to say the same thing to him when it comes to his own son."
