"Last week, Mike Pouncey called out the current Florida Gators freshman class, calling the freshmen cocky and saying they needed to “shut up and play.”
Pouncey publicly addressed his comments for the first time on Monday, answering several questions from the media about the aftermath of the comments. Here’s what Pouncey had to say.
“They responded like men. I wasn’t calling them out to separate this team because all of them are great players. They responded well. They’re doing what they gotta do. We’re all one team and we’re going to go out and play as a team on Saturday.”
