Well Virginia is a tougher opponent than Georgia Southern.

I didn't see the UGA game, but I saw a little bit of the USC game, and it was absolute domination. Remember our win against OSU? USC dominated Virginia the same way, if not more. I don't remember seeing, hearing, or reading about UGA dominating Georgia Southern the way USC dominated Virginia. Also, UGA did lose a player (a DT?), so that might have been on voters' minds.

although USC looked great i feel its wrong to jump over others in the rankings as much as they did especially when no one lost. i was watching espn and they claimed that USC was the only team in the top 4 to play another Bowl series team. the others played lesser teams. i wonder why they made the cut off at the top 4 teams since the gators dominated another bowl series team.
