In college, just as it is in high school, football is an extracurricular activity with the only difference being that athletic talent can provide a scholarship at the college level.
In the NFL, football becomes a job. If Carlos Dunlap wants to earn a decent living as a professional football player for a certain period of time, his attitude and work ethic need to reflect that. Success in the pros is neither guaranteed nor entitled upon anybody.
