Notebook: Meyer pleased with Gators' hard work

Those gray hairs that plagued Urban Meyer's scalp in 2007 have slowly disappeared with the emergence of a more driven team in 2008.
Florida's coach said after Wednesday's practice that the amounts of work the team, coaches and support staff have put in this year has been "overwhelming," and it's making a difference.

As far as I can see it took that loss at Ole Miss and the sloppy performance against Arkansas to make this team wake up, "nut up" (as Coach Meyer likes to say) and play at the level they're capable of.

We're in a position where we control our own destiny from here on out, and this weekend we need to put-up-or-shut-up.

It appears now that EVERYONE has bought into Meyer's way of doing things, and that his Plan to Win makes sense. Sure the 2007 team was a disappointment over his 2006 National Championship team, and maybe now they're realizing that in order to avoid a repeat episode of last year that they need to give 100% out there - no more silly mistakes, no more missed assignments.

The 2006 Gators could have been a "Dream Team" for Meyer; I'd like to see the 2008 squad be his "Redeem Team".

GO GATORS!!!!!!! :gator::gator::gator:
