Percy - Tebow not a NFL Quarterback...?

I was just listening to Percy give an interview since he just signed his contract with MN. He stated 3 times that Tebow is not a NFL Quarterback.

Before you all jump all over this; I know that Tebow is not a NFL Quarterback today but the way he kept saying it just bothered me for some reason.

He did say that Tebow was probably the next best thing to a NFL Quarterback.

Am I reading too much into this?

Probably.
When I first heard about it I thought there may have been some lingering buzz. ( from his 3:30 am flight, not what you think)
My take on it is that he meant .... I couldn't catch balls from an nfl qb but I did catch some from a qb who is not an nfl qb but is the next best thing to an nfl qb...............
The funniest part about it is the reaction of the 2 scribes just to his right when he mentioned TT in that off-handed way. One did a double take and the other couldn't flip his notebook open quick enough to the right page to jot down the quote.
