Q: What’s your biggest fear?
A: I’m not going to lie, anything that’ll bite or hurt; bees, snakes, anything like that. If they bite, and it hurts, I’m a little timid.
Q: How do you get by out on the practice field, then? There are bees flying all over the place.
A: I don’t pay attention to them. If they come by and I notice them, I’ll jump out of the way or something.
Q: Have you ever had a bee get caught in your helmet?
A: No, thank God. That’s why I don’t wear a shield. They can get right back out.
Q: You’ve got a few road trips under your belt now, who would you say has the worst visitors locker room that you’ve seen?
A: I’d have to say LSU. Literally, we could have taken (the lockers) out and taken them home with us. That’s how small they are. But hey, that’s LSU. It’s a different atmosphere up there, so I expected it.
Q: What’s the worst part of a game day?
A: The worst part are the night games where you have to stay in the hotel all day, doing walk-throughs and meetings. It’s just a long day.
Q: What do you do to pass the time for those night games?
A: We’ll have some time in our rooms and get to hang out with the guys, watch (ESPN) GameDay and watch the other games. We’ll just hang out with each other and get our minds off of it until it’s time to get serious.
Q: Do you have any nicknames on the team?
A: Johnny, or JB, I guess. Nothing too good.
Q: What’s the nastiest thing you’ve ever seen on the bottom of a dogpile?
A: Not me, personally, but from what I’ve heard, there’s been some grabbing of inappropriate areas. I don’t know if I can say it (in the paper), but in some inappropriate areas, there’s been some grabbing. That’s at all levels I’ve been at, I’ve heard it.
Q: You’re scared of things that bite and hurt. Maybe you should add that to the list of things to watch out for.
A: You’re right. I need to look out for that.
