Rainey addresses heart issue

"The pads have barely been touched at Florida's camp, but a few players are already missing time due to injuries and a health issue.

The latest injuries come at positions of need, as offensive lineman Matt Patchan and wide receiver Chris Dunkley have missed time.

Head coach Urban Meyer also said during Florida's media day Tuesday that Chris Rainey, a redshirt junior, missed a few practices because of a "racing" heartbeat, but had a non-invasive cardiac procedure done and is expected to return to practice later this week."

Rainey has heart issues? I hope they take care of that because their have been athletes who died of heart issues recently Gaines Adams.

It sounds like something one of my friends had. All through our years in football my friend thought he had asthma, but before our junior year of HS he found out it was a heart problem that had to do with adrenaline. His heart would beat rapidly, causing a shortness of breath. He had minor surgery for it and sat out a year, but has been perfectly fine ever since. It actually happened to me once in a game during my senior year, the single scariest moment I have ever had in sports.
