Riley Cooper to give up baseball

O-town Gator

Gator Fan
"Former Florida WR Riley Cooper has decided to give up his dream of playing professional baseball to focus solely on football.

Cooper told reporters at Senior Bowl practices in Mobile, AL on Monday that he will not play professional baseball this spring. Cooper was a 25th round draft choice by the Texas Rangers organization and signed a professional contract last August."

Could he not change his mind at a later date and go back to baseball? I think Doug Johnson and Chris Weinke did that.

It's not all about the money. Besides, if he makes in pro football, minimum salary in the NFL, or even CFL for that matter, is nothing to scoff at. Whether he does football or baseball, he has the talent to make decent money, and he has not lost anything by choosing one or the other.
