SEC and the BCS

With a Gator win, then SEC wil have won the previous 3 BCS games. People talk about how the SEC is down, but they can't take away the dominance of the SEC in the BCS. Since its inception in 1998, no league has even gone back-to-back... except the SEC.

The SEC is clearly down. Examples: Auburn (no offense), LSU (no QB or defense), UGA (no offensive line and so-so defense), Tennessee (no offense), etc.

The cream of the SEC - Alabama and Florida - are playing in the BCS right now, and based on the recent coaching changes I don't see us being that strong of a conference for a few years down the road. The Tide and the Gators will pretty much carry the SEC, unless LSU and Georgia can pick up the pace a little.

UGA was decimated by injuries this season, and the loss of Ryan Perilloux wound up coming back to haunt LSU, not to mention the fact that graduation hit them hard after their NC win last year - especially on defense.

UGA and LSU can recruit I don't know there have any problem getting players. Don't know about Tennessee yet. I saw Miss State is on the top 25 in recruiting.

There's already some scuttlebutt going around that Lane Kiffin's doing some things that aren't kosher as far as recruiting goes, but who knows- that could just be smack talk from rival fans.

Houston Nutt seems to be turning Ole Miss around, but can he recruit? the same question needs to be asked of Bobby Petrino at Arkansas; if the Hogs don't improve over this past season the folks in Fayetteville will be getting a little surly.

UGA and LSU are like Florida; they're at a point that they can pretty much sell themselves to recruits.

LSU this season just shows how overrated Les Miles is.

I still think he's a decent-to-good coach, but Bo Pelini and Nick Saban's players have shown Les Miles still hasn't "proven" anything yet.

and LSU won it the year before TX so that would be tha last 4 outta 5

and not to mention the year Auburn got robbed after they went undefeated

and auburn had brandon jacobs, cadillac williams and ronnie brown that year

best RB trio ever
