Somehow, even more embarrassment for FSU

"Just when Florida State didn't need any more negative publicity, on a Garnet and Gold evening when the football was finally good enough to make fans forget about the phrase "vacating wins," even if only for a moment, another Florida State receiver had to go out and screw up.

There's no other way to describe it -- Rod Owens screwed up. The only other explanation is that he simply doesn't care -- not about his teammates, not about himself, and certainly not about the program's image, which has already been embarrassed nationally for its involvement in a department-wide cheating scandal.

Owens, who was reportedly arrested near campus early Sunday morning and charged with driving under the influence, is the latest in a way-too-long line of FSU receivers to make headlines for an off-field incident.

Is there any FSU receiver who hasn't been in trouble in the past year?"

They're still whining at the SOW. Apparently they filed an appeal on vacating the wins for those years, saying it's "unfair" to punish Booby (IMO he was aware of those ineligible players, so I hope that their argument doesn't hold water in the eyes of the NCAA): http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4092890
