Sorrentino puts final touch on stellar UF playing career

I met Sorrentino's mom in the ladies' room at the Reitz Union before a game his 2nd year. She gave me great words of direction for my son (then in middle school), to keep up good grades and anything can happen. She told me that Joey got great grades in high school, got into the University of Florida, and then got to try out and be a walk-on. And all his dreams came true; he was part of a national championsip winning football team! The Florida Gators!
She was so nice. I often retell that story to my son. I think it's had an impact on him, he does have awesome grades and is in advanced classes, and played on the JV team this year.
So Go Gators and congrats Joey!!!
