I would like to see Urban Meyer use Brandon Spikes in a DE role for the SECCG and keep Stamper at MLB. Spikes has been used in a lot of pass rushing situations, so it's not something he'd be unfamiliar with.

Wow that is actually a REALLY great idea, we have depth at linebacker to fill his Mid position....but i would like to see him put there in certain plays for passing while green is getting some pt on most downs..
I say mix up as many of the DEs and LBs as possible to stop the run, force the pass, and wreak havoc on Bama. Our defense can do it, but the question is whether or not they have practiced such a thing. Maybe that 3-3-5 Joker formation we used against Troy can be used here if Bama starts passing. If they are running, then our base defense will need to replace that hole plugged in by Dunlap. Why not swap positions around when possible?
I didn't realize we had been using the Joker that often other than against Troy. I guess they got it covered.

I don't know if it's the joker, but I know we've been using a lot of 3 down linemen in our games.

it's a 3-3-5 with 3 safeties that we are using. not sure if we still call it the Joker package, but thats what it is. Considering we didn't do too well against UT's running attack, maybe we take out a DB more often and sub him with a LB or DL???
