It’s been a rough enough year for Florida when it comes to ribbing from rival Florida State.
Not only the Seminoles beat the Gators 37-7 at Florida Field last November, but with Heisman-winning quarterback Jameis Winston leading the way, FSU earned ultimate bragging rights in the state with the 2013 BCS title.
But at least the Gators had basketball to hang onto this season? Up to No. 3 in the country, the Gators could count on some respect heading into its prime-time ESPN CollegeGameDay showdown tonight with No. 14 Kentucky. Right?
But Gator fans were dismayed to find FSU’s logo instead of the Gators on graphic previewing the UF-Kentucky matchup during a midnight airing of Friday night’s SportsCenter.

An honest mistake, right? Some Gator fans weren’t so sure.
@jon_rubin @gatorhoops @SportsCenter @awfulannouncing @bubbaprog guarantee you that was not a mistake and an FSU alum works that job there

FSU, for the record, is 14-10 (including a 67-66 loss Florida) heading into its game tonight at Wake Forest
I’ve reached out to ESPN, but no word yet on the reason for the mistake or how many calls were fielded in Bristol, Conn., about it.
