Target on Gators' back almost as large as Tide’s

O-town Gator

Gator Fan
"For weeks we have been trying to satisfy the beast that is the passion of college football fans here in the Gator Nation with a variety of items. The Top 25 SEC games, Top 25 SEC players, Daily Football Fix. It has all pointed to Wednesday when, as I have said often, college football season begins with SEC Media Days.

Hoover, Ala., is the starting point for it all when coaches, players and hundreds of media gather for the three-day event that is part family reunion, part kickoff to the season. You can count down the days to the first game, but I count down to Wednesday when it begins with a bang, as both Alabama and Florida are in the big room.

And much of the questioning on Wednesday will be about the Tide and how they will deal with the target. The bull’s-eye will be focused on Nick Saban’s team, although in this day and age it’s kind of an antiquated term. It’s more like hundreds of red laser beams pointed from all directions at Alabama."
