With Florida in between semester breaks, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow had time to work on his golf game in his hometown of Jacksonville. His playing partner? Fellow lefty, PGA Tour star Phil Mickelson.
Mickelson said there was more than just a golf competition during the round. On the 18th hole, a football was produced and the contest was on. Who could throw further?
Tebow won. One caveat. Mickelson was standing up while Tebow had to make the throw from his knees.
"He beat me by two yards," Mickelson said. "I've learned my lesson. No more throwing contests."
