Tebow's greatness a geography question

Even if we went undefeated, exceeded his 2007 statistics and won the BCS, there would be some who would not rank him amongst the top five all-time. Perhaps we will have to wait and see how he compares with Sam Bradshaw, Graham Harrell, and Colt McCoy before people look back at Tebow and say, "Yeah, he was better than his contemporaries. Let's rank him with Staubach, Sanders, Frazier, Young, Leinart, etc."

Great read.

The best players I have ever seen at the college level (I'm 25) are Charles Woodson, Tommie Frazier and Tim Tebow. In that order. Tebow could easily pass up Frazier in my book this season by just having another Tebow-like year stat wise. He will have to either win the title or the Heisman to pass up Woodson in my book.

Do you think Tebow can pass Frazier on your list if he had a 2008 Tebow-stat year, or would it have to be a 2007 Tebow-stat year?

My list of best player in my lifetime goes like this: Vince Young, Deion Sanders, Barry Sanders due to their athleticism and the way they stood out from other players. Leinart was good, but he did not, in my eyes, change the game like the others. Tebow can easily break into my top three with a few more awards. A BCS trophy would help.

2008 would be fine. He just needs one more solid year to move up on my list. However, as I said, a national title or Heisman will be the only way he moves past Woodson in my book. I can't believe he didn't make your list.
