Sick of hearing about the SEC’s dominance of college football?
Sorry, but it’s not going away.
According to the Business of College Sports, seven of the 11 most profitable programs in 2010-11 were SEC football programs.
Florida comes in at sixth, down a spot from a year ago as LSU jumped ahead of UF to fourth. Here’s a look at the top 11. By the way, newcomer Texas A&M is at 14th, but Missouri doesn’t crack the top 50.
1. Texas $71.2 million profit.
2. Penn State $53.2 million.
3. Georgia $52.8 million.
4. LSU $47.0 million.
5. Michigan $46.7million.
6. Florida $46.5 million.
7. Alabama $45.2 million.
8. Notre Dame $43.6 million.
9. Tennessee $37.6 million.
10. Auburn $37.1 million.
11. Arkansas $37.0 million.
