Much better than last year's opener though still worried. Though I think the Gators will beat Auburn and UGA because they sucked (though Auburn won) and if UGA loses to USC east, UGA fans will call for Mark Richt's head. Then again anybody think any less of UGA of losing to Boise State.

Few concerns, but overall a decent start to the season.

I wish florida had a power back to offset rainey and demps. We really dont have a downhill guy.

Obviously our young defense will be tested a bit more.

UF cannot have 3 turnovers.

Over all I was happy. We will definitely improve game after game but atleast we have something to build on this year unlike last year.

I agree with everything y'all have said here. (As for UGA losing to Boise St., Leakfan, I'm actually a bit PISSED at 'em--tho'
I think this IS about them being way overrated, the way the media were bound to play it I was hoping the Bulldogs could represent themselves and the SEC a little better than THAT--I just don't think Boise St. are "all that", that they'd absolutely wilt halfway through an SEC-type schedule, but now the "experts" will try to use this result to further support the inflated press and ranking that the Broncos get as they walk through a whole SCHEDULE of FAU's. The idea that they could even be CONSIDERED for a BCS Championship Game is pure horsesh*t.)
As for US, as you all have noted in various ways, about as good an opener as we could hope for--lots of really good and promising stuff, and even the foul-ups (picks, that loss of focus the last 2 min. of the 1st half, the nine penalties) were the kinds of things that (1) Brantley and everyone else handled well, and (2) gave Coach M and the rest plenty to work with, get on 'em about and be sure they aren't "getting cocky"--and know the players will take it seriously.
My main concern, of course, as I've said elsewhere, is the injuries (especially at WR, and with Trey Burton), and of course this business with Floyd's eligibility. Again: with our depth issues, we HAVE to get these people back, ASAP.
