Congratulations to former Gator head coach, Urban Meyer, on being nominated to the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025! Urban Meyer's College Football Hall of Fame induction in 2025 is a testament to his extraordinary coaching career.
Here's a quick look at some of his accomplishments:
  • Impressive Record: 187-32 overall record, a winning percentage of .854.
  • National Championships: 3 - 2 with Florida (2006, 2008), 1 with Ohio State (2014).
  • Conference Championships: 2 SEC titles with Florida, 3 Big Ten titles with Ohio State.
  • Heisman Trophy Winners: Coached 1 Heisman winner - Tim Tebow (Florida, 2007).
  • Offensive Innovation: Known for his spread offense schemes that revolutionized college football.
  • Coaching Tree: Mentored many successful coaches, including Dan Mullen, Kyle Whittingham, and Ryan Day (CFP National Champion 2025).
Meyer's time at Florida (2005-2010) was particularly impressive. He led the Gators to two BCS National Championships (2006, 2008) and consistently ranked among the nation's top teams. His high-octane offenses, featuring players like Tim Tebow, were captivating and dominant.
Beyond his on-field success, Meyer's ability to recruit and develop talent is undeniable. He consistently brought in top-tier recruiting classes and molded them into championship-caliber teams.
However, Meyer's career is not without controversy. His tenure at Florida was marred by off-field issues, and his brief stint in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars ended in disgrace. Despite these blemishes, his impact on college football is undeniable, and his induction into the Hall of Fame is well-deserved.

When interested, he was/is one of the very best.
I was pissed at him for various reasons for quite some time, but that fades over time. Well, I'm getting over it, anyway.
